Carl received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in December of 2008. While at the University of Houston, Carl was a senior member of the Interscholastic Mock Trial Team. Carl traveled as a student attorney every semester while participating on the team, including representing the Law Center at the American Association for Justice (AAJ) National Student Trial Advocacy Competition, and the Tournament of Champions Trial Competition hosted by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) in Denver, Colorado.
Outside of school, Carl had the privilege of serving as a criminal law clerk for the United States Attorney's Office, South District of Texas; as well as, at the Dallas law firm of Waters & Kraus.
Prior to law school, Carl put his Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the University of Texas at Austin to work as a financial analyst.
